## Notes

Read the PDF ISAGA serves (the snapshot holds the same bytes), a volume marking forty years of Duke's Gaming: The Future's Language (Sage, 1974). Lukosch and Bekebrede (p. 145): simulation games "combine the representation of a reference system" with "competition, rules, roles and scoring", and, "Constructed out of roles, rules and resources, they have the ability to emulate real complex systems". Geurts et al. (p. 135) quote Duke: "a gaming/simulation is a model of a model".
